Historically, surgical services is the hospitals greatest cost and revenue source, and is responsible for approximately 60 to 65% of hospital profitability. In these challenging times, a well-run program is critical to help contribute to hospital profitability. This webinar covers a surgical services assessment and performance improvement implementation conducted at Nash UNC Health Care that had a goal of understanding current operation state, evaluating existing performance improvement initiatives, and developing implementation plans for processes and strategies to expand and take initiatives to the next level. View the webinar recording to discover how Nash was able to implement changes across the surgical continuum to improve first case on-time starts, case duration accuracy, room turnover time, and avoidable cancelations.
